New San Miguel Premium Beer: It’s good!

Monday night had me and Phoebe at Manong’s for her 25th birthday countdown. Perhaps the highlight of the evening was our discovery of San Miguel’s new Premium beer for domestic shipment only. Well, I myself am not a connoisseur of beer so all I have to say is that, it’s good! Goes down easy and leaves a slightly nutty taste afterward. At Manong’s this cost P50.00 so it shouldn’t be too expensive as well in regular bars. We tried ordering the same yesterday at Murphy’s in VA Rufino, Makati but it was sadly sold out. The bottle is green, with white “Premium label” wrapping on the neck and the body.

Have you tried SMB’s new beer offering? Do you like the new bottle? Do you like the taste?

As for your questions; no, I haven’t tried it but I do like the new bottle though πŸ™‚ on a somewhat similar note, do you know which restos or bars serve specialized fruit brews? I used to go to this bar in QC named Brew Brothers. They had this Peach Lager that’s truly addictive. Unfortunately, they’ve been closed for quite sometime now. Do you know of any other establishments that serve that kind of beer? Reading this entry reminded me of them and I started to crave for that Peach Lager again… πŸ™

@allan — im not really a beer expert. i do enjoy going to two places though — FIESTA SAN MIGUEL for their happy hour and GRAPPAS for their really cheap (BUT AMAZINGLY GOOD) beer!

cheers to san miguel for expanding philippine beer selections! but the bottle reminds me a bit too much of stella artois –make that waaay to much. i like stella though so i hope this is just as good or even better.

i tasted the beer at edsa shang few days back. all i can say is wow! refreshing, full bodied and just the right balance of hoppy aftertaste.

have tasted this at shang. all i can say is if you are not a beer lover, once you taste this, you will be one. i describe it as crisp and balanced.

i believe it’s available at edsa shang, diamond hotel and hooters moa. you can also have it delivered at your doorstep, call 632-beer.

aaack i wanna try it! i tried ordering it at Murphy’s last month and all they said was “Ma’am, meron kaming stock pero hindi pa namin pwedeng ibenta.” Huwaaaaaat?? grrrr!

Hey Jayvee, I lurve this beer as well. I’m torn between Cerveza and this one now. Beers Paradise is definitely a must for all beer lovers.

parang champagne… masarap sya at may after taste… yun nga lang hindi sya nakakalasing… only 5% alcohol content… you should try the beer at GRAPPAS in makati…

packaging-wise, i still think it’s a stella artois rip-off.
taste-wise, it’s better than the rest of the san mig lineup pero stella artois pa rin. πŸ™‚
