Nintendo announces Wii mini for only USD $99.99

OK hold your horses folks. There’s a caveat that you have to dig through in order to know what exactly this thing is. The Wii mini isn’t targeted towards the gaming likes of you and me. That’s because the Wii mini lacks the following features:

– it doesn’t support GameCube games
– it doesn’t have online support

Now if you can get around these hurdles (or don’t really care about the online WiiWare downloads) then this is an attractive impulse-buy console. Sure, you can get second-hand Wii consoles in the gray market or online for roughly twice the price, but if you’re flying solo and really just want to dip your fingers into some Wii games, then go ahead and grab one.
