I’m on a boat

Crap. I thought I had my camera inside the car’s glove compartment. The joke’s on me. So it was just me and the Nokia N900’s camera. I took a hundred or so photos inside the Costa Romantica. After all, I’m on a boat. Click for more photos.

Costa Cruises is the largest Italian group in Tourism and the no.1 cruise company in Europe, which boasts 60 years of history. Its fleet, Europe’s largest and most advanced, has a total of 14 ships in service and 3 on order, each with her own distinctive characteristics and unique style. All of the vessels fly the Italian flag and sail each year to 250 destinations in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Caribbean, South America, the United Arab Emirates, the Far East and the Indian Ocean.

That’s the main theater where the program was held. Yes, I’m inside a boat.

Pool deck 1. Not a lot of people today because most either opted for the Manila city tour or had just rose from bed.

The most posh disco on the boat. This one is on the highest deck, overlooking everything. It’s available for private functions when there isn’t an event happening. Nice view. This was taken with AUTO scene mode on the N900. Pretty good for low light.

“Come to the back of the boat.” This is pool deck number two.

The second pool area is for the older crowd who want to get away from the kids. It’s more quiet and the abundance of solo jacuzzis make this an ideal place to bask and relax. By default the N900 shoots on 16:9. No need to change this!

The bedroom of the most expensive suite on the boat.

The living room of the most expensive suite on the boat.

The arcade and entertainment hall is littered with gaming and gambling.

The mall. Yes. I’m still on a boat.

The pizzeria. Guests can opt to eat any of their meals in any restaurant on the boat.

Getting away from it all can also mean finding yourself. There is a Catholic priest on board who celebrates mass everyday.
