Groovenet Blogger Meet: There PH and Wablet

EDIT: Postponed for a more convenient date 🙂

I’m helping organize a blogger meet up with the folks from Groovenet – the guys who are the local franchise holders of There Philippines as well as the same guys who are developing Wablet.

Wablet is a hot new web based IM client that can do more than just chat. It was featured in TechCrunch before and there are currently a lot of alpha testers from Microsoft, Google, Netvibe and more. This is your chance to test the client out.

I’ve met with Groovenet President Greg Kittelson several times already and assure you that this will be one eye-opening event in the Philippine gaming, e-commerce and Internet business road map.

The date for this event will be on Wednesday, November 22 2006 at 7:30PM at the Groovenet Penthouse office in Makati (I forgot the name of the building – it is the one beside the Shell Station across RCBC Plaza — I’ll post the correct building address soon). There will be drinks, food and a presentation on the implications of locally made content for There, as well as Alpha tester keys for Wablet. Party in Absinth follows!

To sign up for this small gathering, just leave a comment here 🙂

Hmm… I don’t think I’ll be too busy by then, so you might be able to count me in 😀 I’ve been hearing a lot about that Wablet thing for some time now, and I’m quite interested in what they have to say about it.

I’m not too familiar with There, is that something like Second Life? If it is, I think it’s interesting to see how Groovenet’s going to make full use of the monetary potential of that software.

hello! we moved the meet to another date to make it more convenient for other bloggers to attend. stay tuned ! 😀
