Day 0: Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy S II

The Samsung booth is huge. They’re showcasing everything with full force. But the main showcase is twofold: the newly updated Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which puts it head on with the Motorola Xoom (since both are running Android 3.0 Honeycomb) and the Samsung Galaxy S II. More of this at MWC ’11 later!

Day 0: LG’s booth opens with Optimus 3D and 8.9 inch Optimus Pad tablet

Passing by the LG booth during construction, I was able to hang for a bit to see the fabrications they were putting up.

Yup. 8.9 inches ladies and gents. That’s the Optimus Pad.

Day 0: Peek into Google’s Booth and launch of “Androidify Yourself” personalized avatars

EDIT: Found the app! Courtesy of Miss Google Earth Philippines, Aileen Apolo-De Jesus

I was able to get a sneak peek into the Google Android booth before the conference. I must say, this is THE booth to visit for MWC 2011. They’ve practically got everything ‘Android’ here including schwag, phones, tablets (yes they have the Motorola Xoom but I wasn’t allowed to touch it just yet since the conference hasn’t officially started). So for your entertainment, here are photos of their kick ass booth (that lets you slide down from the second floor)!
