Lenovo announces K860, P700i and S560 Android smartphones for the holidays

UPDATE: BOOM! CES 2013. We have the lowdown on 3 new Android phones announced with pricing!

—————————
Greetings from Xiamen, China! I’m here for an overnight trip with the Lenovo and Open Communications team. We had a chance to tour the Lenovo factory where their smartphones and tablets are made. More on this in another post. Last night was Lenovo’s debut for their Q3 lineup of phones in time for the holidays. These are the Lenovo K860, P700i and S560.

The K860 is essentially Lenovo’s answer to the high end Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy SIII and the HTC One X — at a more affordable price. The K860 is powered by a 1.4GHz quad core processor with a huge 2250mAh battery. It sits proudly at 5″ which is the exact same size as the Samsung Galaxy Note sans the stylus. It will sell for a very affordable PHP 19,999.00 which is quite a steal since most other high end Android smartphones from LG, Samsung and HTC are pegged above P20k and P30k.

The Lenovo S560 boasts as being the mid-level music phone because its main value proposition is the set of high quality Dolby Speakers aimed for audiophiles. It comes with a large 4″ screen and a dual core 1GHz processor. It is dual SIM. It’s price: PHP 10,999.00

Lastly, the P700i is the more serious “enterprise phone” as it comes with a whopping 2500mAh battery that adds roughly 5 or so more hours battery life making it last for 7 days on standby mode. Like the S560, it also comes with a dual core processor, dual SIM, and 4″ screen. It is also pegged at PHP 10,999.00.

Parting shot: John Rojo, BU head of Open Communications (distributor of Lenovo Mobile) introducing the new smartphone lineup and milestones for Lenovo in the coming months.
