So Lilliane started this so I decided to follow with my own list of dive gear. I’ve divided the list into skin diving gear, SCUBA gear and underwater camera gear.

Skin Diving Gear

Black SCUBAPRO Spectra Mask

The current mask I’m using now. I like the black skirts instead of transparent ones because it gives less distractions when taking photos. This mask was a gift to me by Chie!

Scubapro Low Cut Booties

Low cut > High cut.

Red Gull Mantis Hard Fins

So that I’m easily identified underwater, red fins are red! These are really tough fins. No pretentions. They’re great for diving in current.

Henderson Gold Core 3mm Wetsuit

I rarely wear this now but the 3mm Gold Core from Henderson keeps me warm when the waters go below 24 degrees.

UWATEC Aladin Tec 2G Dive Computer

This is a technical diving computer that I bought when I was newly certified. Again, nothing fancy. It’s a tech diver’s computer so changing air type is made easier.

APEKS XTX 20 Regulator

My main regulator and octopus. APEKS is one of the best reg brands in the world. Used by technical divers. This model was their most affordable.

AQUATEC Atlas Pro BCD

Had this one upgraded from a previous model due to wear and tear. For free! I’ve always been a fan of integrated weights on my jacket so I don’t need to suit up a weight belt dangling uncomfortably from my hips.

Camera Equipment

Canon 350D w/ Sea & Sea Housing + Standard Port

This is my standard set up using a 60mm macro lens from Canon. The lens fits inside a standard port and makes for great photography of small critters.

Sea & Sea YS-110α (single strobe setup)

I had been considering using a two strobe setup for underwater photography but since I shoot macro, I don’t really need to light up the entire ocean. Besides — no matter how many lights you have, you really can’t light up everything. Shooting small things – it’s enough with a single strobe. The YS-110 is one of the world’s most popular strobes.

JVC FM1 with Ikelite Housing

This is my video rig: a JVC Picsio FM1 inside an Ikelite acrylic housing. It used to have a light but the damn thing flooded at 10 ft in Cebu last year.
